Designing inspiring spaces for the human experience

About

At Maso Architecture, we believe that every project has a unique story to tell. Backed by over a decade of architectural practice and on-site management of complex projects, our studio provides comprehensive design and project management services - from initial sketches and conceptual design, all the way to precise execution and key handover.

The studio's architectural vision is rooted in integrity, humanity, and timeless design. Whether designing premium villas or creating inspiring commercial and public spaces, our approach consistently seeks innovation and out-of-the-box thinking, closely supported by meticulous construction detailing. We grant each project a tailor-made identity, maintaining an uncompromising balance between high-end aesthetics and strict adherence to planning and building regulations.

From Macro to Micro: The User Experience at the Core

The creative process at the studio begins with attentive listening and a profound understanding of both your needs and the space itself. We carefully examine the site's boundaries to uncover its hidden virtues: observing how the building interacts with its environment and affects passersby, how a seamless inward flow of movement is generated, and what emotions are evoked as the spaces unfold step by step. An integral part of our design methodology is the continuous dialogue between the building's large-scale form and the finest resolutions of its architectural details.

Our ultimate goal with every sketch we lay on the table is to translate the raw potential of a space into a reality that ignites your enthusiasm, reveals spaces that are a joy to inhabit, and leaves you eager to embark on the journey of building your project.

Selected Projects

EH House

In partnership with Arch. Liron Kadi. Private Villa Nestled in the scenic Jerusalem Hills, this 270-square-meter private residence is designed around a clean, geometric architectural language. The design pairs minimalist white volumes with warm, vertical wooden louvers that act as natural light filters while ensuring privacy along the street-facing facade. At the rear, the house opens up to a private courtyard featuring a swimming pool and lush landscaping, creating a natural, harmonious connection between indoor and outdoor living.

Limtless
Kitchen

DNA Paris Awards.

The "limitless Kitchen" project introduces a modular and dynamic concept for contemporary living spaces. The system is based on an exposed structural frame paired with rich wood cabinetry, allowing for versatile personalization, reconfiguration, and adaptation to changing needs. Embracing an industrial chic aesthetic, the design celebrates the raw simplicity of exposed materials and functional systems, dismantling the traditional kitchen layout to create a fluid, evolving extension of the living space.

Y. Habitat

In partnership with Arch. Paul Bock Y. Habitat is an affordable housing project defined by economic and spatial flexibility. The diversity of apartment sizes naturally sculpts the building’s facade, carving out a series of private and shared sky-courtyards that bring pockets of nature directly onto the residential floors. At ground level, the architecture unfolds around a vibrant, open piazza. By blending public and commercial spaces such as cafes, kindergartens, libraries, etc. This mixed-use hub creates a safe, welcoming daily anchor for residents and passersby alike, illustrating how thoughtful architecture can enrich the urban fabric.

House in Tanzania

This project offers a contemporary, refined interpretation of traditional African architecture, combining spatial flexibility with high cost-efficiency. By utilizing a modular layout of customizable private units alongside shared common areas, such as interior courtyards, the structure fosters a harmonious coexistence, balancing both privacy and community for a large family. Designed to passively adapt to the hot and humid climate, the mud-brick walls, paired with lightweight timber screens and patterned brickwork, encourage a constant, refreshing airflow, minimizing the need for mechanical cooling. The construction relies on readily available local and recycled materials sourced from the surroundings, from raw mud and soil to twigs and corrugated metal sheets, significantly reducing overall costs. Complementary eco-friendly solutions, such as a composting system and a V-shaped roof designed to harvest rainwater and dew, provide the home with resource independence. Ultimately, this transforms the residence into a highly functional, sustainable living space that remains deeply rooted in its environment.
